B TEAM AND PARK TI- GERS AND HIGH SCHOOL VARSITY CLASHING First basketball doubleheader of the 'séason is dn’ “the®. bill for hardwood fans “tonight at the High School Gym. Park Tigers and the High School Gym, Park Tigers--and- the High |” School Varsity will tangle in the nighteap game, and the Girls’ Varsity and B teams of the High Schoo! will play in a preliminary game, In the boys’ game, two of the City Basketball League’s teams will go into action for the first time this season..’ The Tigers are! well known for their fast, furious, never-say-die playing in the past,! and the High School, coached by P. D. Huddleston, -was the winner of the City League last year. Interest is high also in the girls’ exhibition contest. The Convent girls have walloped the High School girls for the last three ‘ears and have not lost a contest them. The prep gals have their ire up this year.and have been practicing nightly (that is, up to eight o'clock, which is “date ‘time, and exeluding Satur- day nights) and have been whip- ped into shape by the coaching of Miss Martih. With the addition of, two forwards from upstate schools, A. Wise and C. Maebeth, the prep allies are hoping to spring a sur- prise on the Convent crowd in a series of games to be played sometime before the Christmas Holidays.
