FLINT) evececcccesscosseee Key West is to be congratulat- ed upon the occasion of another step forward, in its new Chamber of Commerce. Part of the work of such a body will doubtless be to attract favorable attention to the many advantages available in Key West. It is the voice of the community’s business life and a valuab‘e asset. In any large city it is some- what of an honor to be associated with the Chamber of Commerce, which is usually emblematic of. soundness and progress. Where problems are to be met it is a case of pulling together. This new influence should pave the way for the new Key West, which will follow the completion of the road to the mainland. In- formation, business opportunities, house listings, apartments available and all form of cooperative, ind vidual help should be found at the Chamber of Commerce. If the people of the North, who think Florida has been parceled out to the rich, realized the chance they have in Key West to get a start on the “ground floor” of a coming resort of importance, they might decide to build and lease in| Key West now. If possible, it would be excellent to advertise} Key Wes: in smaller “weeklivs,” reaching into the rural neighbor- hoods of the North and Middle West. Miami, Fia., March 30, 1937.
