WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 2, 1936. Seg SYNOPSIS: Pretty young Tip Warren shocks her family at breakfast by announcing she’s going flying with an irrespon- sible garage mechanic. Gathered around the board are: dainty. un- selfish Sally, dutiful and corsid- erate; her petulant stepmother; her tired lawyer father; the 18- year-old twins, vivacious. playful Tip and studious, handsome Ray. To discourage Tip’s flying, Sally impulsively promises her mother she will not go up again without parental permission. Then Sally hurries to the Courier and her new job as society editor. Chapter Three Terry Asks A Question SALLY was soon so busy she forgot everything but her work. A few thinutes before one the phone rang} and Sally, answering in her newly ac- pei ized business-voice, was greeted with a hearty laugh from Terry May- | nard. “Not an item for the paper,” saia Terry. “Will you have lunch with me} in ten minutes?” “Of course. 1 was jus where and when I’¢ have i ondering | “Good.
