Since the res- olution passed and became a law. several or more have taken ad- vantage of the saving, while a) few have asked for a statement for the purpose of making settle~ ment. For the benefit of those} who do not understand the basis! of settlement, I beg to submit the} following: j Any person, firm or corpora-j tion owing delinquent taxes sub-; sequent to the year 1929, we will; say owes the city an amount ofi $500.00, which means for the} years 1930 to 1934 inclusive. Pay-4 ment in city collateral can be used in the following _ manner: 36°% in bonds or coupons or both, the proportion being $180.00 at/ the rate of cost of bonds with the} tax collettor of 30¢ on the dollar} .00.
