Twentieth street, arrested last week on a ci- tation in contempt of , Municipal court, was. rearrested .Wednesday night on a new citation. The sec- ond one corrected a technical er- ror caused by failure to affidavit to the original’ citation. The oraer charges that Car- bonella and Gordon Lee obtained $50 from J.-E. Groover, brother of ©. G. Groover, 1689 -N. W. Third avenue, representing to him that they could obtain the latter’s release from the city jail without the payment of a $100 fine impos- ed following conviction on a charge of driving a motor car while under the influence of liquor. Groover actually was released from jail, but was rearrested when {an investigation was made. Groo- ver’s brother then complained to authorities with the result that the citation was issued by Judge James A. Dunn of Municipal court.
