This has been proved by flying which has conquered time and space. All the world is now our neighbor. No longer can we re- main provincial without signing our own death warrant, whether it] be as’ individuals, communities or nations. Mrs, Stearns emphasized the fact hat we are living in a new era, that. we have indeed stepped over threshold into a new life that continue to change with great rapidity. She urged that women bepome thinkers, for in no other y will they be able to under- and meet the vast responsi- that confront them. Most impottant among these responsi- bilities is the need to abolish war. | Ail women are fundamentally op} posed to wer and they must use their God-given influence to make quet from the Junior ..Woman's Club, presented’ by its president, Miss Florence Sawyer.’ Miss Har- ris’ response was graceful and in- spiring as she asked for the co- operation of the members... and thanked’ them for the confidence they expressed by choosing her as their president. The addresses of Mrs, Warren and Miss Harris will appear in a later issue of The Citizen. The president announced. that the winning team this month is the Radiance team, Mrs. Harry M. Baker, captain.
