“PAGE FOUR Miss Ivma Carry Weds T. H. Pittman At a quiet wedding Saturday afternoon in First Methodist church, Miss Irma Louise Curry, daughter of Mrs. Curry and the late Mayor Leslie A. Curry, was married to T. H. Pittman, mana- ger-of the Southern Bell Tele- phone company’s local plant. There were no attendants on ac- count of the recent death of the bride’s father, and no cards were issued. Reverend John G. Strad- ley, pastor of this church, read the marriage ceremony in the] presence of very close relatives. Mrs. Pittman was graduated from Monroe High School the class of 1923 and is an active worker in the First Methodist church. For several years she has been an efficient and court- eous employee of the Southern Bell Telephone company’s finan- cial department. Mr. and Mrs. Pittman will make their home in this city. Election of Officers By Woman’s Auxiliary Election of officers in the Woman’s Auxiliary of the First Presbyterian church was held at a business meeting Friday. It was planned that the officers elected at this meeting will be installed at a public installation on the’ evening of Thursday, March 16, when the ceremonies will be es- pecially beautiful and an ap- propriate program presented.
