~, MADE ON ALL »» FRIGIDAIRES DRASTIC CUT IN PRICE IN AN- NOUNCED BY PRESIDENT oF ORGANIZATION IN NEW PLANS DAYTON, Ohio, August 11.— Drastic price reductions effective | immediately on all lines of Frigid- aime were announced today. The cut in price ranges from $20 to $90. Increased demand for Frig- idgire, followed by increased pro- duction, is assigned as the reason by E. G. Biechler, president and general manager of Frigidaire. Through anticipated produc- tion increases we expect to mater- jally lower our production costs,” eaijl Mr. Biechler commenting on the announcement. “We have sold more than 200,000 Frigid- nines to date—a larger number than has been sold ‘by all other makers of electric refrigerators combined. We feel that. the pub- lic'will demand Frigidaire in ever increasing quantiiies and now it is time to pass on the savings that will be accomplished.” Frigidaire recently announced a $20,000,000 factory expansion program which will give it an out- put of 600,000 refrigerator units next year. This new Genera! Moers plant will be compléted within a short time and will be in production early in 1927, price cut affects Frigid- aire-metal cabinet models, resid- ential and commercial installations and also cooling units designed for use in the standard makes of ice boxes. r asdtelail sales for the first seven months of 1926 indicate that we will pass far beyond the $80,000, 00) market set as our goal for this year.” Mr. Biechler said, “We have every reason to believe that cold weather sales will run many times higher than last year, for the public is just beginning to realize th t it is summer in the kitchen the whole year round and thattidequate refrigeration is needed every day in the year. “During the past twenty years, thé’ expectancy of life of the av- erage American citizen has been Proloriged ten years. This has been done through dissemination of knowledge of sanitation and health safeguards, plus the fine work done by the government in guppervising the preservation of foods in transit, er ‘refriger- Gtion in the home is ¢ step.¥ » Rapid strides are being made by idaire in the commercial re. frigeration field. Sales to gro- cers, restaurateurs, meat dealers, druggists and florists have raore than doubled in the past year. The tremendous increase in this field is altogether due to the great economies and added convenience afforded by eléctric refrigeration, Mr. Biechler stated. The following*are among the users of Frigidaire refrigerators in Key West: Charles Wardlow, Mrs. John Wardlow, Ey R, Lewis, Thos. H. Reid, E. R, Strunk, James L. John- son, Judge-J.
