TO THE PUBLIC: Coral Isles Casino, conducted along the lines defined, will fill a long-felt want in the community where there is a real need for wholesome recreation and relaxa- tion. A rendezvous for the juven- iles of the city such as this Casino will be, is a very desirable feature, and one te be encouraged if for no other reason than <hat it will tend to check lawlessness and boister- oushess. As such an institution, I am very glad to add a note of approval to this venture, feeling as I do that it will have a splendid influence upon the recreational habits of Key West’s young people. Yours very truly, ILEEN WILLIAMS, Judge of the Juvenile Court. +++ Key West, Fla., April 24, 1926. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: I firmly believe a Swimming Poot and Casino operated in the City of Key West would be a great asset. T feel it will fill a much needed want in the community, both as & necessity and as an amusement. In fact, I have endeavored for the paw five years to induce and promote such an enterprise, feel- ing that whoever developed it would have a paying investment. Respectfully, LESLIE A. CURRY, Mayor. +o4¢ Key West Fla., April 29, 1926. TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: Any-movement tending towards cleaff, healthy and’ more wholesome recreational facilities in any com- munity should have the whole- hearted approval of the individual members constituting that com- munity. The capacity of a nation of a community for werk and the quality of its achievements is a direct reflection of iis capacity for play. Give a community the fa- cilities for wholesome play and you give to its members, especially its youth, an opportunity to develop socially and physically. Without such a development among our youth our material progress must be slow and our importance as a municipality negligible. It therefore affords me pleasure te congratulate Mr. Charles H. Abbott’ on his ideals and commend him in his efforts to give the com- munity of Key West supervised recreational facilities conducted along lines which are bound to have an influence for good in the community whieh cannot be reck- oned im dollars and cents.
