CLEARING THE VACANT: LOT Attention is here called to the vacant lot op- posite the First Methodist church, at the corner of Simonton and Eaton streets. . It has been cleared off nicely and puts forth a very neat and almost an attractive appearance. A citizen was heard to remark that if that lot was offered for sale it would bring at least a third more money in its present condition that it could have been sold for before it was put in such fine shape. The work of cleaning up this lot cost -very little indeed, yet it adds materially to the appear- ance of the city and enhances the value of the property in no small degree. Workers along city beautiful and sanitation lines would do well to point to this lot as an ex- ample, There are hundreds of other places in the city that could be improved the same-way-and with i the same pleasing result. “ WHO'S GOING?
