Atlantic States to ‘Texas and the west Gulf with a moderate center of disturb- ance in Maine, and a ioe ary center over the lower Rio Grande Valley. Pressure is highest off the south Atlan- tie coast and over the upper Mississippi Valley. These pressure changes have resulted in rains on the west Gulf coast, and rains or snows from the Mississippi Valley eastward except the middle and south Atlantic coastal plain. Snow was con- fined to the Lake region. It has become warmer in the north and middle Atlantic States and a further and slight increase in tempera- ture has taken place in the south Atlantic and east Gulf ites, and on the west Gulf coast. Over the Great Plains southward into Texas, .in the upper and middle Mississippi Valley and over the upper Lakes it is colder.
