The application of Mrs. Pattelle and Mrs, Cloutier under the firm name of Patelle & Cloutier was taken up. There being no objections filed against the granting of same and the Recorder stat- ing that said application had been pub- | lished according to law, Trustee Arscott moved that license be granted to Patelle & Cloutier fora term of one year from May 14th, 1913. Recorder Sherman sec- onded the motion and upon a vote being had, the following voted aye: Arscott, King, Riddell and Sherman. There be- ing the president declared the motion carried and ordered license is- sued to Patelle & Cloutier for a term of one year from May 14, 1913, subject to the approval of applicant’s bond and the paying into the Village Trea- sury the fee required by law. Trustee Arscott offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolv That warrants Nos. 5950 and 1, issued upon the General Fund, be called in for payment and that there be drawn a warrant on the Gen- eral fund to pay the face of said war- rants and the rued interst thereon. Recorder Sherman seconded the motion to adopt the resolution and upon a vote being had the following voted aye: Ar- | scott, Riddell and Sherman. Nays, King. Whereupon the president declared the motion ed. ‘ Trustee Arscott offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: transferred from the Contingent fund transfered from the Contingent fund to the credit of the General fund for the purpose of retiring outsanding war- rants. Trustee King seconded the mo- tion to adopt the resolution, which car- ried by a unanimous vote, and said resolution was therefore duly adopted. The president declared the next order of business would be the appointing ot a Justice of the Peace, and a Health officer to complete the unexpired terms. Motion made by King, seconded by Russell, that C. B. Webster be appoint- ed Village Justice of the Peace, to complete the balance of the term. Mo- tion carried by unanimous vote. Motion made by Russell seconded by Arscott, that Dr. J. Gendron be appointed Village Health Officer. Motion carried | by a unanimous vote ‘A committee was present and request- ed the council to donate the sum of $150.00, for the purpose of paying the lease on the Ball Park and the balance for improving same. Motion made by King, seconded by | Sherman, that the Village pay the sum of $75.00 for renewing the lease on the ‘ball park, and the sum of $75.00 in improving same. The following voted | aye: King, Riddell and Sherman; nay, ‘Arscott and Russell. Whereupon the ypresident declared the motion carried. Motion made by Arscott, seconded by King, that the sum of $75.00 donated for improving the ball park be expended under the supervision of the street com- | missioner.
