Upon motion of Commissioner O'Brien, Seconded by Commissioner Shellman, the petitions for the survey of Section 24. 145.25, Section 2-55.26, Section 16.57.24 and Section 1458-22 were continued to the next meeting. Commissioner Nelson moved that Oscar J. Lidberg be recommended to the Min. nesota State Highway commission for the appointment as Assistant Etate En. gineer for the county of Itasca. The mo. tion was seconded by Commissioner Shell. man and carried by unanimous vote. The county auditor presented and fil. ed with the board a statement show- ing the amounts levied for the various county purposes for the current year, together with the cash balances of each of the county funds and the amounts unpaid upon the contreats as required by Section 488 of the Revised Laws of 1905. Commissioner Shellman moved that County Surveyor Oscar J. Lidberg be instructed to make an examination and estimate of the work done under the Mitchell & Co. contract upon the Good Hope-Third River road, and to consult with John A. Brown, who made an esti. mate of the work done upon said road for the county and with the engineer employed by the contractor to make an estimate of the work done under said contract, and to submit a report at the next meeting of the board.
