MANY HUNIING ACCivENTS Three Tragic Deaths on Minnesota iron Range. Reports have been received at Vir- ginia from the Sand lake country that Joseph Kuski, fifteen years of age, was shot and killed by Emil Jacobson while hunting. John W. Nelson of Monntain Iron was shot by Argo Hill while in the | few hours later. John Wirolrinla was shot in the face near Mountain iron by an unidentified hunter, who escaped. Though serious, the injury is not thought fatal. August Marker, fourteen years old, in the Knife river valley. FIVE HURT IN AUTO PLUNGE Car Leaves Duluth Boulevard Drive, Turning Over Twice. Murdock McDonald and his thirteen- year-old son of Virginia were seriously injured when an auto in which they were riding ran off the boulevard drive and rolled down the steep em- bankment, turning over twice. Miss Clements Smith and Mrs. Alice Prior of Eveleth, sisters of Mr. McDonald, who occupied the rear seats, escaped with only a few scratches. Martin Brady, a boy who was sit- ting on a rock near the road when the big car left the driveway, was struck and knocked down the hill. His in- juries are not serious. Victim’s Father Met Death in Similar Manner Year Ago. Ethel Brown, eight years of age, daughter of Mrs. Emily C. Brown of Minneapolis, was struck, knocked down and mortally injured on the West River drive by a machine driv- en by Howard E. Smart of St. Paul and died shortly after reaching St. Mary’s hospital. The little girl’s father, Joseph B. Brown, met death in a similar manner Oct. 5, 1911, when the automobile in which he was riding was upset near Jordan, Minn., and he was thrown out, suffering a fracture of the skull. VICTIM HITS WIND SHIELD Watchman Struck by an Auto Is Killed. A. J. Smith was struck and killed at Minneapolis by an automobile driven by George B. Gaylord, sec- retary of the Regal Sales agency. /} Gaylord was arrested and charged | with manslaughter. | Smith was thrown on the radiator of the car by the impact and his head knocked out the glass in the wind shield. Smith was a private watch- man. : Fourth Victim in Three Days. Four victims in three days is the unprecedented automobile accident record in Minneapolis, the fourth victim being Joseph Le Muer, fourteen years old, fatally injured when an au- tomobile skidded into a dirt cart on which the boy was riding toward his home. Butte, Mont., Nov. 13.—Mrs. Maud Jones and her daughter Genevieve were arrested by the police charged with being the bandits who held up and robbed Fred Ureck of a purse containing about $50 and a watch and chain.
