TO IRVIN RANDALL: Default having been made, and now exists in the conditions of that certain contract dated September 2nd, 1910, by and between August Wisuri and Maria Wisuri, his wife, as vendors, parties of the first part, and Irvin Randall, as purchaser, party of the second part, in and by which contract said parties of the first part, for and in considera- tion of the payment of One Hundred Ninety Dollars, ($190.00) to be made to them at times and in amounts speci- fied in said contract, together with the interest due at the times of such pay- ments. on all then unpaid portions of said contract price at the rate of six per cent per annum, covenanted and agreed to sell, assign and set over to said second party by a proper assign- ment duly endorsed thereon, all their right, title and interest in, to and un- der that certain Swamp Land Contract dated July 8th, 1908, between the State of Minnesota and John Kappi, being num- bered 479, and covering the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of Sec- tion Twenty-eight, Township Fifty-five, Range Twenty-four, in Itasca county, Minnesota, which said contract was thereafter duly assigned by said John Kappi and wife to the said August Wisuri. That in addition to his promise and agreement to make said payments of principal and interest at the times and in the manner above referred to, said Irvin Randall likewise in and by said contract promised, agreed and un- dertook to pay all taxes levied and as- sessed against said above described premises, and the interest thereafter to become due to the State of Minnesota ander said Swamp Land Contract, Num- ber 479. That said Irvin Randall did not pay the installments of said purchase price provided in said contract to have been made on September 20, 1911, and on Oc- tober 20th, 1911, of Ten Dollars and Fiv Dollars respectively, together with the interest due on said dates respectively on the then unpaid portions of said pur- chase price, and did not pay the taxes levied and assessed against said land for the year 1911, amounting to the sum of $9.82, nor did said Randall pay to the State of Minnesota the interest due to it on June Ist, 19}1, or the in- terest due to it on June Ist, 1912, each of which payments of inter- est amounted to the sum of $6.80, un- der said Swamp Land Contract Number 479, but in each and all of the above respects defaulted in and failed to ob- serve or perform the terms and provi- sions of his said contract with the said August Wisuri. NOW THEREFORE, in accordance with the terms of said contract, and of the statute in such case made and previded, nctice is hereby given that un- less the said Irvin Randall, his heirs, representatives or assigns shall with- in thirty (30) days from the date of the service hereof fully comply with the terms of said contract by making the several payments of purchase price and interest thereon and the taxes and interest payable to the State of Minne- gota as above set forth, together with the costs of service hereof, said con- tract shall thereupon terminate, togeth- er With all rights of said Irvin Randall or anyone claiming through or under him by reason of said contract. Notice is hereby given that on October 21, 1912, at 10 o’clock a. m., in the office of the County Auditor, at Grand Rapids, Itasca county, in the State of Minnesota, I will offer for sale certain unsold state lands and also those state lands which have reverted to the State by rea- son of the non-payment of interest. Terms: Fifteen per cent of the purchase price and interest on the unpaid palance from date of sale to June 1st, 1918, must be paid at the time of sale. The balance of pur- chase money is payable in whole or in part on or before forty years from date of sale; the rate of interest on the unpaid balance is four per cent per annum, payable in advance on June ist, of each year, provided the principal remains unpaid for ten years; but if the principal is paid within ten years from date of sale the rate of interest will be computed at five per cent per annum. Appraised value of timber, if any, must also be paid at time of sale. Day, who piloted John A. Johnson to success, {s not in ft, but his presence in St. Paul the past week would indicate that he has something up his sleeve. The story, too, is that Mr. Day and Fred Lynch, Democratic national committeeman, have broken. The latter statement ean be taken with the usual grain of salt. ++ + Affidavits concerning newspaper ownership as required under the new corrupt practices act are being filed daily with the secretary of state and like the first received the majority of them ridicule the law. Some of them are really funny. One owner of a paper called personally upon the sec- retary of state for information as to what he would have to do. “Must I place over every political advertise ment the price paid and the one au- thorizing it?” asked this particular newspaper owner. “You certainly must,” was the answer. “Well, sup Pose I do not fix a price, but insert ht free and sell him some extra cop fies?” asked the publisher. “I do not know anything about that,” was the answer.
