An Ordinance for the Impounding of Domestic Animals and Fowls Running at Large Within the Limits of the Platted Portion of the Village of Mar- ble, and for the Penalties Attaching to the Owners or Custodians thereof. The Village Council of the Village of Marbie do Ordain as follows: | Section 1. The Presitient of the Village of Mar- ble. shall, from time to time, detail one or more policemen, or some other suitable person or persons who shall be vested with the usual powers anil “Athorivy of police officers ot the said village, and the policemen or persons detailed shall perform and discharge all th duties required and enjoined upon them by this Ordinance, or which may hereafter be required of them by the Village Council. , Section 2. The President of the village shall, from) time to time, designate a suit- able place to be used as a public pound, for the impounding and keeping of ani- mals running at large, as hereinafter provided. Section 3. No horse, mule, goat, sheep, swine, poultry, or any cattle, shall be permitt- ed td run at large at any time within the limits of the platted portion of said village, and if so found running at large each and every such animal or fowl shall be impounded in the public pound by the person or persons detailed by virtue of Section One (1) of this Ordin-- ance. Section 4. Any person who, being the owner, or having custody of any animal or fowl, hereinbefore mentioned and who shall permit them to run at large within the platted portion of said village, shall upon conviction before a Justice of the Peate, be punished by a fine of not less than One ($1.00) Dollar, nor more than Fifty ($50) Dollars. Section 5. No horse, mule, nor any cattle, which shall be impounded in the public pound, shall be released until the owner or custodian thereof shall pay to the offi- ter in charge of the pound, the sum of One ($1.00) Dollar for each and every horse, mule, or head of cattle. All other animals and poultry, mentioned in Section 3 of this Ordinance, which hall be impounded shall be realeased by payment of the sum of fifty (50c) cents for each and every one thereof.
