This sale is to be held pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 204 of the General Laws of Minnesota for 1905, as amended by Chapter 476 of the \ General Laws for 1909. Timber estimated and appraised per M feet will be offered and sold per M feet; timber estimated and appraised per cord will be offered and sold per cord; all cords to be single cords; and timber estimated and appraised , as tie or pole or post timber will be offered and sold per tie, or pole or post; and sale will be made to the party bidding the highest price forgill the several kinds of timber advertised on the lands in the different sections. None of the timber can be sold for less than the appraised prices as given herein, and any bidding over and above the said appraised prices shall be by “per centage,” the per cent bid to be added to the appraised price of each kind of timber advertised on the land. No bids of less than 5 per cent will be entertained or accepted. Purchasers of any of said timber at said sale must pay down in cash at time of sale 50 per cent of the appraised value of the timber, based on the estimated quantity, and must give bond to the State in an amount at least double the appraised value of the timber, conditioned upon cutting all of said kinds of timber that there may be upon the land (be it more or less than the estimate) clean, acre by acre, and paying the State the balance that may be @ue therefor, and for the faithful performance of all the terms and condi- 4 tions of the law governing such matters. Permits will be issued to the \ purchasers, good up to and to expire on June 1, 1913, for the cutting and removing of such timber, and the law allows the Timber Board, by unani- mous vote, to grant one extensjon of time, of not more than one logging season, if good reason is given for not having been able to complete the cutting and removing of the timber within the original time limit of the ht Permit. All timber cut is to be scaled or counted on the land where cut by a regular State Land Examiner, and is not to be removed from such land until it has been so scaled or counted, and final settlement is to be based 7 on such scale and count. Grand Rapids, Minn., November 23, 1911 A special meeting of the school board of School District No. One was held in the board’s office at four o'clock p. m. all members of board being present. ‘ Architect Hollister reported that he had examined the Cohasset school building and had found that contract- ors Redfield and Colburn had com- pleted their contract except the placing of protecting screens on the basement windows, which screens the contractors have agreed to in- stall, and he recommended that the building aside from the heating and plumbing contract be accepted. Upon motion the Cohasset school building, except the plumbing, heat- ing and water supply, was.accepted and the bondsmen of Redfield and Colburn were discharged. The architect reported that the heating, plumbing and water supply contract was complete except for @ PAGE SEVEN few minor detaile which the e¢oa- tractor E. R. Browne has agreed to attend to, and he recommended that when said details were supplied and the heating plant was tested that the heating plant, water supply and plumbing be accepted Upon motion the meeting adjourn- ed. Dickinson and J. D. Doran were present. Bids for building a log school house in Section 4 of the Township ot Carpenter were received as follows: James Hayden $450, G. M. Lockwood $500. The bid of James Hayden was accepted. Bids for building a frame school house in Section 24 Township 60, Range 22, were received as follows: Joseph Dion & A. J. LeVasseur, $1,- 169, Wm. DeShaw & B. L. Franke $795.39, Andrew King $1,087, J. 3. Lofberg $1,252.13, John Hofer $1,150, W. W. Fletchr $1,150. The bid of DeShaw & Franke was accepted. Upon motion the meeting adjourn- ed. J. D. DORAN, Clerk.
