They bave urged her acceptance because: First—She has the educational qualifications and the experience as a teacher that are necessary to in- telligently direct a system. of schools She is a graduate of a mormal school and has taught twelve years. Second—There should be no back- ward step in the schools of this county. In bidding for settlers in the mewer sections a good school system is necessary. It requires a person of sound education, ample experience and good judgement to carry forward #h¢ work already begun. Mrs. Mur- chie's election means educational pro- the gress.
