The Board of County Commissioners of Itasca County, Minnesota, met in Special Session at the office of the County Auditor this 29th day of May, 1909, for the purpose of determining the necessary repairs to the cell work in the County Jail and the letting of the job for such repairing. Mr. W. J. Har- rison, representing the Diebold Safe & Lock Co. presented plans and specifica- tions for continuing the cell work al- ready in said jail so as to provide for four additional main cells, two on the first floor and two on the second floor; also for moving the insane cell from its present location in the main cell room on the ground floor to the vacant space adjoining the female cells on the second floor. In connection with said plans and specifications he made an offer to con- struct said cell work in accordance with the plans and specifications presented, also to overhaul and put in firstclass working order all locks in both the old and new cell work and to furnish all locks in the doors with’ keys, also to re- adjust all lever locks and put them in first class condition, also to furnish new bottoms for the bunks in the present main cells and to furnish all new cells steel bunks, also to paint all old and new cell work. The total of said im- provements to be done in accordance with the plans and specifications fot the sum of $2,515.00. Commissioner O’Brien moved that the repairs on the cell work in the county jail be done in accordance with the plans and specifica- tions furnished _by said W. J. Harrison, and that the Diebold Safe & Lock Co. be awarded the job of making such re- pairs in accordance with said plans and specifications. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Trebilcock and carried by_unamimous vote. The matter of. fixing the amount of bond to be furnished by the Register of Titles was then taken up. Commis~ sioner Trebilcock moved the adoption of the following resolution: if ‘Resolved, that the bond of the Regis- ter of Titles of Itasca County be and it is hereby fixed in the amount of Twenty five Hundred Dollars, with two or more sufficient personal sureties or a_ suf- ficient corporate surety, to be approved by_the district court of! id County.” The motion was seconded by Commis- sioner OB’rien and carried by unauimous vote.
