wv . Grand Rapids. Minn A regular meeting of the village council was held ut the cowncil room and upon roll being called, President Powers. Trustees, Root and Leroux, and Recorder Yancey responded. The minutes of the preceeding meeting of repairing the culverton the State Farm road was referred tothe street committee. On motion made and carried the purchasing committee was authorized and empowered to sell the lock-up cages belonging to the vill- age at such price as it may decide upon. The report of the village treasurer was read and approved and ordered to be filed andthe recorder was instructed to draw an order payuble to the treasurer for $1204,55 to cover the amount paid by hifa s interest on bonds. e Arcport of Justice Huson was read, proved and ordered to be filed. A report of fire department was read approved, The report of Supt. Garris was read ordered to be filed. Mr. T. A. Mcttugh appeared before the council with a request that a rebate of $1.50 be made him from his water account for the reason that the water pipes in his building were frozen fora period of two months The matter was laid over fur turther considera- tion. A petition of M. Por ti for asewer extension on 7th street was heard and the matter was referred tothe committee on sewerage for an estimate of cost, etc. The following liquor licenses were allowed, this being the time and place for hearing the Speications for same: D. M.NGunn, and McAlpine & McDonald. Applications for liquor licenses were received from Thomas ‘Trainor.
