Report of committees was now called for and police Committee revorted that they had not been able to make their report and re- quested an extension of time, 'and after dis- cussion time was extended until meeting to be held October 19, 1903. Water committee reported that they had made estimates of cost on Third street from Houghton to Debaittre avenues, also on Fourth street from Leland avenue east, and after discussion the sume was laid on table. Grading of sidewalk on Kindred ‘avenue. from Second to Third street, on west side of same, und after discussion. same was on motion referred to street commissioner with instructions to property owners to bring same to grade. Petitions were again presented and on mo- tion were laid over until some future meeting. Applications of J. F. O'Connell und L. R. Root, to sell liquors, were presented and on same hearing was set for Nov. 2, 1903) at8 o'clock p.m. Justice reports were read and on motion same were approved and ordered filed. ‘Treasurer's report was read and on motion approved, Communication from board of health, with refrence to pest house, was , discussed and as complaint had been made regarding the location of same a motion prevailed that they be notified that pest house’ was in the village limits and ordered to remove same therefrom, and recorder was instructed to send notice to Chairman of county board of Health. Sewerage engineer presented report, same was read and on motion ordered filed.
