An act regniating ‘the construction and maintainance of stove, pipes. chimneys and heating upparatus in the village of Grand Rapids and providiug penalties for the viola tion of this ordinance. ‘The Village Council ofthe village of Grand Rapids do ordain: as follows: Section 1, That all stoves, furnaces and heating apparatus in said village shall be erected, coustructed and maintained in a gocd, safe, and substantial manuer and shall ‘De separated from thé floor beneathand the walls or sides of the building in which they may be situated by such material as will eflectually protect said floors, sides and walls from taking fire there from, _ Section 2, All stove-pipes, shall be erected in a good and substantial* manner atid be fastened by wire or its equivalent so as to be secure, permanent and: safe; and no stove pipe shall pass through ‘the roof or wall of any building whatsoever, eXcept. as hereiné after provided.
