The exodus of the men for the towns and the restlessness of those remain- ing at the camps, has caused the log- gers, in protection to themselves, to put the wage figure up a few notches and it is intimated that there is hard- ly likely to beany cut from now on until the close of the logging sea- son. Although the woodsmen returning to the city are being offered higher wages again, but few of them are showing a disposition to go back to work, nor will they until their money earned the forepart of the winter is allspent.
