The dance given by Mr. and’ Mrs. Will Nesbitt at their house-on the island in Pokegama lake on Wedues- day evening was attended by about twenty couples; and to say that they had a good time does not half, express it. As the majority of those present were campers at the lake, these had the running of the affair. One cond- ition that those attending had to submit to was to not under any cir- cumstances be dressed up. If a gen- tleman appeared in that gathering with a white shirt, it would have been ripped off in double quick time. The same would have been the case had any lady been brave ehough to don a white shirt waist. The music was excellent, as were all the arrange- ments. It was wel] on toward-morn- ing when the party broke up. Mr. and Mrs: J. R. Donohue, who are also stopping at the Nisbett resort, assisted the host and hostess in making the event a very pronounced social success. Of Grand Rapids.
