He will return to- night. Miss Hattie Allen came up from Trout Lake to spend Sunday at the Rapids. Mrs. J. W. Johnson spent a few days with her husband at Deer River this week. F. P. Sheldon of the Lumbermen’s Bank made a flying wip to Duluth yesterday. If any one asks you why Roadmaster McNaughton is so jovial nowadays, say it’s a boy. Mr. and Mrs. H. Harris were presested with a big baby boy Mon- day afternoon, Attorney A. Y. Mermll, who attend- ed court here last’ week returned home Thursday. Lee West, the reservation logger, passed through here on his way to Duluth this morning. Rev. John Trelour will leave Mon- day morning for Terra Haute, Ind. He will preach his last sermon Sun- day. James Sullivan was down from Deer River yesterday. Jim says that his new hotel will be completed next week. The union service tomorrow even- ing will be in the Presbyterian church.
