0 BE DEDICATED ,B:ishop Mitchell to Preach at Services Today in Takoma Park. 1 Pive beautiful stained glass windows will be dedicated in Trinity Church, Takoma Park, at 11 a.m. today. , Each composition was designed and executed by Henry Lee Willet of Phila- Iphia. i The windows included are one repre- senting the Good Samaritan, in the rorth aisle of the church, in memory of Mary Noyes; one depicting love, in the west tower, in tribute to Homer Guerry, and two for the Annunciation and the Nativity, in the south aisle, in remembrance of Mary Langdon Bacon. Also a large window of three panels, telling the story of the last week in the life of Christ, set in the east wall in memory of Dr. and Mrs. Milton W. ‘Whitney. ' Dr. Whitney was a scientist in the Department of Agriculture for many vears and is credited with having been a pioneer in soil conservation. He also was widely known as an expert stamp collector and was & founder and later president of the Washington Philatelic Society His wife was Annie Cushing Lang- don, daughter of the Rev. Dr. William Chauncey Langdon, Episcopal clergy- man at Geneva, Switzerland; Florence, Italy, and Cambridge, Mass., and one of the sponsors of the Washington Y. M. C. A, Dr. Whitney died November 11, 1927; Mrs. Whitney January 1, 1928. Their gons, Milton W. Whitney, jr. and Alden H. Whitney, will be present at the dedication. The Rev. Reno S. Harp, rector of Trinity, will conduct the service, with the Right Rev. Walter Mitchell, Bishop of Arizona, preaching the sermon.
