After leaving the church every one went by Mrs. John Keith's (grand- mother of the twins) home for mint Juleps. It was a most delightful party, one of those occasions when old friends meet who have not seen each other for years. I heard one of them say, “It is s0 delightful to see all of my friends and relations, for I rarely see some of them except when we meet at a relative's funeral. But today we are having such a happy time.” Among those present at the christening were Mrs. R. Carter Scott, Miss Bunny Scott, Mr. and Mrs, Harry Augustine, Miss Lucy Carter Scott Augustine, Mrs. Carter Scott, jr.; Mrs. Gray Gar- land, Mrs. Armistead Welford and Harry Augustine, jr., all of Richmond, and Dr. and Mrs. Charles Howze, Mrs. Louie Jeffries, Mr. B. Fauquier-Loudoun Garden Club members, who are putting on the show, are working hard to make it & great success. Mrs. Warner Snider of Leesburg is certainly the hardest worker of them all, for she wrote the pageant and is managing it as well. Following the pageant a short play, “Square Pegs,” will be given, and Miss Gertrude Borzi is coming from New York to sing. THE Loudoun Hunt horse show will be held at Belmont, the estate of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Hurley, Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. There will be 22 classes for hunters, jump- ers, hacks and ponies, and the entry list includes some of the best show horses of Northern Virginia. W. F. Peach, secretary, expects this to be the largest and best show they have put on for many a year. Silver trophies will be given in all classes, and, although entries for the pro- grams have been closed, Mr. Peach will take post entries the day of the show. The show ring on beautiful Belmont estate has newly white- washed fences and ralls for the occa- sion, and fresh green brush has been put in the jumps.
