Annual examination of the feet of achool children by authorized physi- cians and the recording and correc- tion of any defects were advocated for a program of foot health educa- tion in the public schools by Dr. Custis Lee Hall, prominent District surgeon and an authority on foot defects, who spoke before the Manor Park Citizens’ Association last night at Whittier School. Stating vhat 50 per cent of children between 5 and 10 years, 70 per cent between 10 and 15 years and 80 per cent of high school age have some defect of the feet, Dr. Hall contends that with the proper treatment in early life such lesions may be cor- rected. The foot health program, which is being discussed before civic groups and parent-teacher associations, has the indorsement of the District Health Department. George A.
