ADDRESSES LISTED FOR CONVOCATION Rabbi E. L. Israél One of - Speakers at Howard fl University Event. V'nu twentieth annual convocation of the School of Religion, Howard Uni- versity, to be held Tuesday, Wednes- day and Thursday in Sojourner Truth Hall, will feature addresses by Rabbi Edward L. Israel, Har Sinai Congre- gation of Baltimore. Rabbi Israel's talks will start with “Antecedents of the Literary Prod- ucts,” Tuesday morning; followed by “The Significance of Amos and Ho- sea,” “The Messages of, Isaiah and Jeremiah,” “The Prophets of the Ex- ile” and “The Prophetic Religion of the Modern World” during the course of the convocation. Other addresses will be: “Richard Allen, the Philosopher,” “Lott Carey, the Missionary,” “Alexander Crum- mell, the Pastor” and “William 8. Crowdy and the Saints,” by Rev. Miles Mark PFisher, White Rock Baptist Church, Durham, N. C. Devotions will be directed by Rev. R. M. Williams, Asbury Methodist Church; Rev. A. D. Gray, Plymouth Congregational Church; Rev. Howard S. Anderson, First Congregational Church; Rev. J. Campbell Beckett, Metropolitan A. M. E. Church; Rev. E. O. Clark, Chevy Chase Baptih Church, and Rev. E. L. Harrison, Shiloh Baptist Church. At the convocation banquet, ‘ednesday evening at 8 o'clock, an address by President Mordecal W. Johnson and singing by a quartet from the Women's Glee Club will be featured. Exercises will start each morning at 9:30 o'clock and continue until 11:45 o'clock. Afternoon exercises will start at 2 o'clock. The addresses and devotions will be interspersed with ‘music and - discussion. SANITARIUM HEAD DIES - Heart Attack Kills Specialist in Occupational Therapy. GREENWICH, Conn., November 7 (P)—Dr. William Herbert Wiley, 57, founder of Blythewood Sanitarium, specializing in occupational therapy in psychiatric cases, died today of a heart attack at his home. He and his wife founded the in- stitution in & single building in 1906. ‘The sanitarium now comprises 22 buildings, occupying 80 acres. He established an art studio, a potter works, & button factory and other oc- cupational - departments, enabling many patients to earn their living through these pursuits.
