LOUISA NORMAN, SOCIETY LEADER, DIES Funeral Services Are Held at Bos- ton—Mrs. Bryce Allan Is Sister. ‘Word was received here today of the death of Mrs. Louisa Palfrey Norman. who died Monday in Boston, and was buried there yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Norman, prominent in Wash- ington society, had maintained a Winter home here at 1727 Massachu- setts avenue. She spent the Summers in Rhode Island. Mrs. Bryce Allan of Washington, a sister, was with Mrs, Norman at the time of her death. Mrs. Norman was the widow of the late Senator Guy Norman of Newport. She was a member of the Sulgrave Club here, in addition to several other exclusive organizations in Rhode Island. Puneral services were held at Trinity Church in Boston, Rev. DAVIS DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS Former Soldier Bedridden for 25 Years—Funeral Will Be Tomorrow. Thomas H. Davis, bedridden for 25 years, died Wednesday in Soldiers’ Heme Hospital. He had lived at 2122 H street until three weeks ago, when his condition grew worse and he was admitted to the hospital. Mr. Davis had been unable to walk since he suffered a broken back in Hawall in 1910 while in the service of the Undted States Cavalry. He re- ceived the injury when a cartload of lumber turned over on him. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alice T, Davis, and two sisters, Mrs. Hannah Wilson and Mrs. Lelia Ter- rett, both of Washington. Services will be held at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church at 9 a.m. tomorrow, following rites at the home. Burial will be in Arlington National Cem- etery. ALLEN B.
