CATHEDRAL CHOIR 10 SING CANTATA #The Crucifixion” Will 'Be Feature of Evensong Serv- ice Tomorrow. ‘The sacred cantata, “The Cricifixion,” by John Stainer, will be rendered by the Cathedral choir of men and boys, under direction of Edgar Priest, at the even- gong service tomorrow at 4 o'clock in ‘Washington Cathedral. This is an an- nual feature of the Cathedral's obser- vance of the Lenten season which is appreciated by lovers of the best in sacred music. In view of the length of | the cantata there will be no sermon. ‘The preacher at the celebration of the holy communion at 10:30 a.m. in the great choir will be the Rev. Malcolm S. Bryant, Accepts Call NEW PASTOR AT ST. MARK'S : LUTHERAN CHURCH. REV. J. LUTHER FRANTZ A call, recently extended by the con- gregation of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, to Rev. J. Luther Frantz, to become its pastor, has been accepted, and he has undertaken his duties there. Rev. Mr. Frantz served the congre- gation some years ago, when the streets southwest. During his pastorate this building was destroyed by fire and a new edifice with Sunday school rooms was erected at Eighth and B streets southwest.
