DULANY T0 HEAD LOCAL HORSE SHOW Resident of Washington and Upperville Succeeds Melvin C. Hazen. H, Rozier Dulany, jr, of Washing- ton and Upperville, Va, was elected president of the National Capital Horse Show Association at a recent meeting of the Board of Directors, it was an- nounced today. He will succeed Melvin C. Hazen, who will hold the office of vice president. Mr. Dulany has been associated with turf and show ring activities for a number of years, and was actively con- nected with the operation of the Upper- ville Horse Show. Under his direc- tion, plans are being completed rapidly for the 1933 exhibition to be held at the Bradley Farms show ring on May 10, 11, 12 and 13. Those who have been invited to judge this year include Mrs. Fontaine Maury Thraves, Virginia Beach, Va., children’s classes; John W. Maccomb of Wilmington, saddle horse classes; Henry L. Bell of Bayside, Long Island, and Willlam Skinker of The Plains, Va., hunter and jumper classes, and Col. Kenyon A. Joyce, military classes. The Washington Junior League will act as sponsor of the coming event and sale of boxes and reserved seats will be under its .supervision. Manuel Gomez by two deputy sheriffs at Ardmore, Okla., is authorized in a bill signed yesterday by President Hoover. The two youths were killed on June 7, 1931. The deputies claimed they made an attempt to resist when the officers stopped to question them. Rubio was a relative of former Presi- dent Ortiz Rubio of Mexico.
