. CHURCH WILL MARK TO0TH ANNIVERSARY Week’s Celebratian to Open at Concordia Luth- eran Tomorrow. The Concordia Lutheran Evangelical Churgh, Twentieth and G streets, will open temorrow a week’s celebration of its 100th anniversary. Rev. C. W. Locher. a former pastor, 1919 to 1924, and mow the president of the Evangeli- cal Synod of North America, will be the speaker in the Bible scacol at 9:45 am. and in the English service at 11:15 am In the German Rev. In the morning services January 22 the pastor will give his anniversary message, and in the evening the choir, under the leadership of John R. Mon- roe, will sing Handel's “Messiah.” Prof. Christiani’s Orchestra will accompany the choir for this occasion. Concordia Church was organized January 17, 1833. The first church edifice was erected in 1833. In 1889 the chapel was built for Sunday school purposes. The present church build- ing was erected in 1892. The new church school building is erected on tae site of the old chapel. During the hundred years it has been served by the following pastors: Rev. Mr. Ungerer, 1833-35. Rev.
