CHURCH DIES SUDDENLY Retired Headmaster of St. Albans Succumbs at Nantutcket Home. STAR, By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, January 5—An en-, couraging _picture of the American | farmer’s prospects during 1933 was sketched last night by W. Howard Cox| king William Howell Church, former head- master of St. Albans, National Cathe- dral School for Boys, died suddenly Sundey at his home in Nantucket, Mass., it has been lchrned here. Mr. Church retired as headmaster of the school in 1929. Until his retirement, Mr. Church had devoted most of his life to education it raduated from Hamil- nd later became & keley School, New York City. In 1302 he became head- master of the Nathan Hale School, and in 1808 went to Pittsburgh to a position in the Carnegie Technical Schools. In 1910 he became headmaster of the George H. Thurston School in Pitts- burgh, and came to St. Albans in 1915. Headea Association, Under his leadcrship the school was brought. to jts present standards.
