Chief Dies FRANK |. WAGNER, EX-FIRE CHIEF, DIES Succumbs at 88, After Long liness—Watson Hon- ors Memory. A career of firefighting of more than 40 years, 12 of which were spent as chief of the Districd BNre Department, came to & close last night when Frank J. Wagner, retired chief engineer, died at his home, 4709 Georgia avenue, after a long illness. He would have been 89 April 1.
