C¢ FRIDAY WOMAN PHYSICIAN DIES IN TAKOMA PARK HOME Dr. Helen Smith, 69, Was Victim of Heart Attack—Body * Brought Here. By a Staff Correspondent of The Star. TAKOMA PARK, Md., January 22. Dr. Helen Smith, 69, of 215 Allegheny avenue, Takoma Park, who has been il for some time and who insisted upon treating herself for her allment, accord- ing to police, was found dead, seated on the sofa in the living room of her home yesterday. Certificate of death from natural causes was issued by Dr. A. W. Shannon of Takoma Park. Policeman Frank Lane of Takoma Park, who investigated, stated that the woman had been ill for some time and had insisted on treating herself, refus- ing to go to a hospital or accept medical attention from any other doctor. She is said to have died as the result of a heart attack. The woman was pronounced dead by Dr. R. M. R. Zoretshie of Casualty Hospital. As the portion of the town in which she lived is in Prince Georges County, officers of that county were notified. The body was removed to Lee's undertaking establishment in Washington, pending word from rela- | tives. She was a graduate of the University of Michigan. | MRS.
