Mr, Wilson had been 111 for several months. Besides his sister, a Washington con- cert bureau manager, he is survived by a brother, John M. Wilson, and his widow, Mrs. Etta Noah Wilson. Mrs. ‘Wilson, daughter of the late Judge J. J. Noah, is well known here as a singer. Mr. Wilson, who was born in this city and graduated from Georgetown Uni- versity, was secretary-treasurer of the District Bar Association for many years. He was a member of the University Club and the American Bar Association. He served as a captain in the World War. George P. George William Cook, colored social worker and retired Howard University lessor, who was born in slavery in 855, died yesterday in Mercy Hospital at Philadelphia. He had become m while on a trip to Asbury Park, Prof. Cook was born in Winchest: Va., and escaped from bondage with Sheridan’s army. He entered Howard University in 1874, graduating in 1881. He then was retained as a teacher and successively served as professor, dean of the economics department, acting president, alumni secretary, and as a member of the board of trustees. Among other outside interests he served as a member of the Board of Charities for several years.
