DUNMOW, Essex, England, August 5.—Three couples, claiming to be “happy though married,” have appeared here before the centuries-old “Dunmow Flitch” jury and apparently proved their contention that there is such a thing as_ccnnubial bliss. The custom of the “flitch” trial dates back to 1445. It was dropped during the war and revived in a small way last yezr. A flitch, or sid> of bacon, is awarded to each couple who prove before a jury of six maids and six bachelors that they hnve lived happily for one year and & Col T.
