RICHARDSON, Special Dispatch to The Star. NEW YORK/ June 11.—With the ex- ception of the German group of dollar bonds and a few of the other less well secured forefgn bonds, the inv market was strong today. The trading was typical of many se slons in recent months. No matter how | powerful the factors driving the general ist higher, there is always a group mani- festing weakness. The opposition of Aristide Briand of France and Ramsay MacDonald of Great Britain to a debt parley at the present time was taken | by the market as dashing German hopes | for an immediate revision of repara- tions ‘payments and thus imperiling Chancellor Bruening's position. The fear of a radical successor to the present | Berlin government led not only to heavy liquidation of German bonds both here and in London, but also to heavy with- drawal of American credits in Germany, according to Parisian advices. Young plan 51,5 dropped over 2 points | to a new low level under 66 Dawes reparations 7s worked nearly 3 points | lower to a new minimum under 96'. There were losses of 1 to 3 points in | German Central Bank issues, in Prus- sian s, Saxony 7s, Berlin 6s, Cologne 61.s, Franfort 6'.s, Hamburg 6s, Rhine- Jand Westpha Electric _obligations, Westphalia Electric 65, United Steel Works 6i.5 and many other German descriptions. The selling was in fairly large blocks at times Chilean and Colombian issues were off fractionally, in the South American group, though Argentine 6s held their levels' and _Brazilians. because of new Sao Paulo refunding agrecment and a firmer tone in coffee prices, con- tinued their advance. Australian issues were again stronger in quiet Other forelgm {ssuex were quiet. Washlngton Stock Exchange SALES.
