GHURCH 10 HAVE BRTHDAY PARTY Chevy Chase Baptists Invite Charter Members as Spe- cial Sunday Guests. ‘The seventh anniversary of the Chevy Chase Baptist Church will be observed at the morning service at 11 o'clock to- morrow. All charter members have been requested to attend, and these will be presented with a flower upon enter- ing the church. ‘The church was organized December 6, 1923, at the home of Mrs. William D. Henry, 10 West Kirke street, Chevy Chase, Md.,, under the auspices of the Columbia Association of = Baptist Churches, of which Dr. H. W. O. Mil- lington is executive secretary. For a time the church worshiped in the theater hall. In 1926 the present church building was occupled. The Sunday school was organized early in 1924 with William Hughes as superintendent. From an original mem- bership of about 40 the school has grown to more than 200 members at present. George B. Fraser is the gen- eral superintendent. A special feature will be given in the school session to- morrow in keeping with the anniver- occas sary ion. At the church service the pastor, Rev. Edward O. Clark, will give a brief med- itation entitled “The Master’s Love for His Church.” The ordnance of the Lord’s Supper will be observed. Teams of laymen are engaged this week and next in visitation evangelism.
