LANHAM DETAILED TO STUDY AT SORBONNE Former Colonel of Washington Cadet Corps Sails for France on July -16. First Lieut. Charles T. Lanham, TU. S. A, former colonel of the Wash~ ington Cadet Corps, has received one of the most enviable details in the service =-a vear of study at the Sorbonne Uni- versity in Paris. Lieut. Lanham is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford T. Lanham, whom he has been visiting here at their Fort Dupont Bome. Mr. Lanham is superintendent of trees and parking for the District Government. While at Eastern High School, Lieut, Lanham supplemented his scholas work, which was marked by general excellency, with a keen interest in mili- tary science. He was colonel of the Cadet Corps in 1919 and 1920. Since his graduation from Weost Point in 1924, Lieut. Lanham has served extensively in the Panama Canal Zone. He will sail for France on July 16. On higreturn to this country Lieut. Lanham will be detailed as an instruc- tor in modern languages at the United States Military Academy.
