EAST ROCHESTER, N. H., June 16— The “ideal American girl” intends to en- ter the missionary fleld in India because “it affords the greatest opportunity for service to those Who wish to help others.” Alice M. Yesterday she took up her new duties as secretary and_director of religious education in the Oakland M. E. Church, Philadelphia. Her goal, she said, was the forelgn missionary fleld, particu- larly India. The American brand of health, ethics, deportment and general culture will be her subjects. During the past year she served as student pas- tor at the Asbury M. E. Church in Dela- ware, Ohio, and judicial president of the Women's Student Government Associa- tion at the Universi OPEN CELEBRATION AUGSBURG, Germany, June 16 (P). —The quadri-centennial celebration of the Augsburg confession was_inaugu- rated yesterday at the City Hall, where delegates from over the world were wel- comed by the Bavarian authorities.
