BUILDING T0 COST 51010 PLANNED Potomac Electric Co. Asks Permit for Nine-Story Structure. Plans for the new home of the Potos mac Electric Power Co., calling for the erection of a nine-story structure cost- ing a sum estimated at $1,100,000, at the northeast corner of Tenth and E streets, have been filed with the Dis- trict building inspector with an appli-| cation for permit. Plans for the new building on the new site were announced about a year ago. The new structure, which is to be monumental in_character, under plans drawn by Waddy B. Wood, local architect, is to replace the present plant of the power concern on Fourteenth street at B street, which has been pur- chased by the Federal Government as ment development. The new plant is to be of a combina- tion of brick, limestone and granite.
