WEST PALM BEACH, Fla, August 23.—Courses of procedure, at the end of which lie possible settlements of the six-year-old court fight here over $7,- 000,000 worth of property were open today to Mrs. Bula Croker, widow of the late Tammany chieftain, and the interests now in sicn of the dis- puted real estate, Under the terms: of a Circuit Court order issued yesterday, the Palm Beach estates and J. B. McDonald are to pay Mrs. Croker $1,670,000, representing the purchase price of the property and in- terest and taxes. Refusal to pay this sum by August 30 will cost them title to the land. Legal depositaries were named in the eventr Mrs. Croker de- clines the money and further contests the matter. The court upheld the contract of some years ago by which the former political leader and his wife sold 10,000 feet of ocean-front land at $150 a | front foot. Interment was in Fort Lin- coln Cemetery. Dr. Baldwin, who was retired last March, had served at the Patent Of- fice as associate examiner in charge of the medicine section for & number of years. He was at one time princi- pal examiner. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bowman Noah Baldwin, & teacher i the John Eaton School; a daughter, Miss Peggy H.
