PRE-EASTER SERIES OF SERVIGES HELD = Roil Call Sunday Will Be Fol- lowed by Special Features. GAVIN LEADS CONFERENCE HERE Pre-Lenten Lectures Given at Washington Cathedral for Rectors. Dr. Frank Gavin, professor of ecclesi- astical history at the General Theologi- cal Seminary, New York, was the leader of a pre-Lenten conference held dur- ing the week at Washington Cathedral under the auspices of the College of Preachers. Dr. Gavin took as his sub- ject for a serics of lectures and group discussions “The Passion of Suffering of the Incarnate.” This was one of several gatherings planned by the College of Preachers to prepare rectors from many sections of the country for Lenten preaching.
