John Ruthven, chairman of the devotional life dep;n.mmb, stressed the impor- tance of dally devotions and Bible study. He presented a plan, which if followed, would entitle every member of the federation to the degree of D. D. D. The president spoke of the inter- national convention of the Baptist Young People’'s Union of America, to be held in Kansas City, Mo., July 4 to 8. The several unions reported a total of 40 members interested in attending the convention. The next inspirational mecting will be held Tuesday evening at Fifth Bap- tist Church, when Dr. Thomas E. Green, national director of the Ameri- can Red Cross, will speak. The stand- ing of the unions in the efficiency con- test at the end of the first half will be announced. The international federa- tion held its monthly meeting February 16, at the Fifth Baptist Church, when Col.
