By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, Septembeer 26.—A warning to American industry of the sing importance of German and Brit- h chemicals interests in world mar- kets is sounded in the current issue of Industrial and Engineering Chem- istry, official journal of the American Chemical Society. The ‘magazine reports the incorpor- ation of a German chemical cartel, the Interessengemeinschaft, and an _in- creasingly friendly spirit between Brit- ish and German chemical manufactur- ers who are said to contemplate far- reaching consolidation aimed to form a virtual European chemical trust. The Interessengemeinschaft is report- ed to have acquired property in the Louisiana natural gas field Denials Are Discounted. “Notwithstanding denials that have been made, the preponderance of evi- dence reaching us indicates progress between the chemical manufacturers of Great Britain and the cartels of Germany,” says the journal, “in thelr efforts to effect a consolidation of in- terests that can overwhelm any other group in the world, with the possible exception of the United States.” Continuing to outline the effect of such mergers, the magazine say: “When a single organization i able of producing more than 35 per cent of the world's needs, it is evident that through such production may come dictation in world markets, and, it the power is so used, a continued threat in domestic markets as well.” After ing the possible <yaur’ 3 Radio Set Switch .
