Construction of the new home of the Marjorie Webster School of Ex- pression and Physical Education, a monumental structure of the Spanish mission style of architecture, to be erected in a large wooded tract at the intersection of Seventeenth street and XKalmia road, adjoining Rock Creek Park, is expected to be started within he mext 30 days, according to an an- nouncement today by Miss Marjorie Webster, head and founder of the school. The new school building is to be completed by June 1, 1928, according to present arrangements, and it is ex- pected the school will be transferred from its present quarters, at the northwest corner of Fourteenth street and Massachusetts avenue, to the new Jocation some time during next Sum- mer. The present home of the school, on Thomas circle, is owned by the Ver- mont Avenue Christian Church, and it was necessary for the school to va- cate the property to make way for the magnificent new church building which is to be erected there in the near future. The new home of the Marjorie Web- ster School, which will have prov sions adequate to take care of consi erable enlargement of the school's en- rollment, will cost approximately $650,000, according to plans for the structure, drafted by Col. P. M. An- derson, consulting engineer and arch- ftect of the building. Situated advantageously in the midst of a plot of about six acres, the building will present a frontage of approximately 500 feet, including the four wings, which will project be- yond the sides of the main portion of the structure. The central part of the building alone will have a front- age of 250 feet and the adjoining wings each will be 100 feet in length.
