By the Associated Press. NEW YORK, June 9.—A 13.year- old girl was in a Brooklyn hospital in_a serious condition today, the re- sult of being struck by an_airplane piloted by George Lambert, Princeton University undergraduate, who bought the plane when automobiles were bar- red at the college because of many ac- cidents. Lambert, son of the owner of the Lambert Pharmacal Works, St. Louis, was_flying from New Brunswick, N. J., to Curtiss Field, Long Island, when he was forced down on a vacant lot in Brooklyn by a shortage of gasoline. The girl, Lily Chernow, was injured when the plane swerved over a rut in taking off from the street. She probably suffered a fracture of the right shoulder and perhaps internal injuries. Lambert, who is captain of Prince- ton’s tennis team, brought his plane to Princeton shortly before Easter and obtained permission to practice in it for exhibition races in St. Louls. * ‘When You Think of Edgemoor You think of the most * exclusive community adja- cent. to Washington—and expensive Homes.
