BISHOPS' CRUSADE PROGRAM FOR CHURCHES IS ANNOUNCED Holy Commumon Will Be Celebrated and Noon Day Intércessions Will Be Conducted. Plans for the bishops' crusade in the Episcopal Church in Washington were completed at a meeting Thurs day night. The mission churches in ‘Washington are the Church of the Ep'phum at 1317 G street; St. Mark's Church, at Third and A streets south cast; St. Margaret's Church. Connecti cut avenue and Bancroft e, and St. John's Church, Potomae and O streets. 1t has been decided to hold crusade meetings also in Emmanuel ©hurch, Thirteenth and V streets southeast, and St. Luke's Church Tifteenth and Church streets. The crusade will begin Sunday evening January 23, and continue through | Friday evening, January 2§ Each week day of the crusade there /will be a_celebration of holy commun jon in the mission churches at the followin Eplphany. 730 a.m ¢ am.; St. Margaret's. i'and 25, at 7:30 a.m.; 26 n. Each evening at § o'clock there will be a mission service at each of the specified churches, at which one of the crusaders will deliver an address. These addresses are anticipated as being the high points of the crusade. Bishop to Speak. On the evenings January 23, 27 and 28 the speaker at Epiphany Church will be Right Rev. Thomas C. Darst, Bishop of East Carolina and president of the National Commission on Evangelism. The preacher at Epiphany Church Monday evening, January 24, will be Right Rev. James E. Freeman, Bishop of Washington. Bishop Freeman is & member of the National Commission on Evangelism, which is conducting the crusade, and preached the first sermon of the crusade in the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City Sunday evening, January 9. During tre fol'owing week he deliver- ed more than 30 addresses in New York City. The speaker at Epiphany Church the evenings of January 25 and 26 will be Rev. Charles Edwin Knickle, rector of St. Paul's Church in Water town, Wis. He is a rutive of Lunen- burg, Nova Scotia, where he received his early education. Preacher rt St. Mark's. Rev. Dr. Fred G. Budlong, at p ent rector of Christ Church, Green- wich. Conn., will be the preacher each evening of the Crusade week at St. Mark’s Church, beginning January 23.
